🏈 Vegas 2021: Complete Breakdown   Recently updated !

After staying grounded for most of 2021, September finally saw a return to travel. This mission was a 6-hour drive south into the desert heat for the 2021 Labor Day weekend. This wasn’t just a leisure trip—it was a deep-dive into the infrastructure of a post-pandemic Vegas and a first-look at the home of the Raiders.

From managing a new (but small) tech bag to navigating the intense traffic patterns around the Strip after the big game, this mission provided essential data on high-volume holiday travel.

Read on for the full operational breakdown of the 2021 Vegas deployment.

📍 Overview & Planning

A mission to Vegas during a holiday weekend requires specific gear and a solid departure strategy to avoid the “winter” rush (though it was 100+ degrees).

🏟️ The Main Event: Football Infrastructure

The primary target of the mission was Allegiant Stadium. We analyzed the fan experience and the logistics of the Raiders’ new headquarters.

🏨 Basecamp: Tahiti Village

We set up our mobile command center at a timeshare on the south end of the Strip.

🍽️ Culinary Logistics: Fueling in the Heat

Operating in 100-degree weather requires high-quality fuel. We tested local legends in both Utah and Nevada.
