SLC to Honolulu
You have the following options if you would like to fly to Honolulu (HNL) from Salt Lake City (SLC).
- Alaska
- American
- Delta
- JetBlue
- Southwest
- United
I could only find one airline that flies non-stop from SLC to Honolulu, Delta, and that is on a B767.
While you can get there with one-stop options with the other ones. What about Hawaiian Airlines?
Hawaiian Airlines
Hawaiian Airlines announced on Nov. 29, 2023, that it would be flying from SLC to Honolulu. The announcement can be found here. Starting May 15, 2024, daily flights to and from SLC to HNL will occur.
Leaving from SLC at 7 AM and arriving in HNL at 9:55 AM with flight number HA84
Leaving from HNL at 6:50 PM (10:50 PM MST) and arriving in SLC at 5:15 AM, with flight number HA83.
The flight will take place on A321 NEO. It’s not my favorite plane for this route.
I don’t like the redeye flights, but it might be worth it.
SLC becomes the 16th Gateway city in the Continental U.S. Here are the cities

Granted, this is only from SLC to HNL. If you want to go to a different Island, you might have to take a hopper or fly Delta.

I wonder if they watched my YouTube video or read my blog post. I did mention that they need to come to SLC. You never know. Will this drive down the prices for non-stop flights from SLC to HNL?

Going to use Hawaiian Airlines to fly to Hawaii from Salt Lake City? That is a good option to have. I have only flown Hawaiian to Hawaii, and that was from Vegas. I might give this a try. However, it is on an A320 NEO.
