Monday, October 30, 2023

Returning from Costa Rica, we decided to go to the Crown Grill. I have talked about that here.

Here is what we got

Me

  • The Gilled Salad
    • Good
  • Filet Mignon
    • 7 oz

Desert

  • Apple and Rhubarb Cobbler

Wife got

  • New York Strip 11 oz
    • It was too pink for her, so I ate that, and she ate mine.

We shared the following:

  • Asparagus
  • Garlic cheese knots
  • Garlic herb french

Desert

  • Salted caramel Crème Brûlée Cheesecake

I finally found that they do offer the following:

I have been looking for this since I got on, and people onboard the ship said they didn’t have it.

Tuesday, October 31, 2023 (Halloween)

Did they have some spooky food on the ship? Well, nope they didn’t.

I had the following:

  • Grilled Thai Beef Salad
  • Grilled Chil-spiced Barramundi

Desert

  • Pear Flambé
  • Peach and Blueberry cobbler

Wife had

  • Beer & Cheddar soup
  • Fried Camembert
  • Roasted Chicken Breast, Wild Mushrooms

Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2023

I am sorry to disappoint you today after a big breakfast and lunch. I have decided not to eat dinner tonight. I know this is a first for me. Tomorrow should be another day with plenty of food.

Thursday, Nov. 2, 2023

Tonight was lobster night in the main dining room, which must mean one thing: lobster.

I got the following

  • Lychee and watermelon-infused Syrup
  • Red Lobster tail and Louisiana-style crab cake

There was no dessert for me tonight. The Lobster filled me up. If you wanted a second one, it was $19 extra. However, they had a couple of extras, so we got them for no charge. Well, my father-in-law got them. He loves lobster.

Friday, Nov. 3, 2023

Tonight was Salty Dog Pub. Finally, my wife got her chicken sandwich. She liked it.

I got the following:

  • Short beef ribs
  • A lemon thing for dessert

Wife got

  • Chicken sandwich
  • Strawberry crème thing again

  • White tomato soup with grilled cheese

Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023

Tonight was the Gala Dinner, so good food is to be eaten.

I got the following:

  • The crispy fried Tofu
    • Pretty good
  • Land and Sea
    • Beef tenderloin and lobster.
  • It was the peach flambé
    • It wasn’t on the menu

The wife got the following

  • Wedge Salad
  • The Michelle special
    • Pan roasted Chicken
    • Potato
    • And Beef tenderloin
      • Instead of veggies.

Sunday. Nov. 5, 2023

The last dinner of the cruise was called the farewell dinner. 

I got the following:

  • Seafood Medley
  • Slow-roasted prime Rib
  • Pineapple Flambé with Ice cream
    • No picture

Wife got

  • Tropical Fruit soup
  • Slow-roasted prime rib
  • Caramel Pecan Turtle Cheesecake
    • No picture

Menus

They also do a little celebration on the last night.

Thoughts

The food was really good throughout the cruise, including the desserts. I could have had a couple of nights, but I restrained myself. The lobster was a favorite, along with some good old meat. The Land and Sea plates were good.
