Today, we didn’t make the reservation at five because we just got back an hour before. My father-in-law was asleep, and I needed to figure out a computer issue for the wife while we could receive SMS texts.

We ate in the Da Vinci dining room on deck 6.

I had the following

  • Ladle
  • Baked Mahi Mahi, Caper-Citrus Dressing
  • Desert
    • Sour Cream Apple Pie
      • I asked for two scoops of ice cream but only got one.

Wife got

  • Salad
  • Pan-roasted chicken Breast
  • Desert
    • Crème

Since we had the Premier package, we decided to eat in the only casual dining area on the ship. The Salty Dog Gastropub in the Wheelhouse Bar is open nightly from 6 PM to 10 PM.

The wife and I got the following:

  • Salty Dog’s Dip Sticks
    • Complimentary Appetizer
  • E menthol and Gruyère Grilled Cheese with Tomato Soup
  • The SDG Burger

For Desert, we had

  • Strawberries & Cream

I will post up on Jan. 19, 2024, discussing this causal Dining option.  (Causal Dining)

Friday,  October 27, 2023,

For Friday, we ate in the main dining room. We didn’t go to our standard scheduled time. We went at about 6 PM and ate in the Michelangelo dining room.

I had the following:

  • Coconut Shrimp, Pineapple cocktail sauce
  • Tender Greens, Trio of Cheese
  • Macadamia & panko crusted Mahi Mahi

  • Warm berry cobbler

The wife had

  • Watermelon with Honey-citrus Mascarpone
  • Ravioli Di Ricotta
    • As a starter
  • Herb Roasted Chicken

  • Nothing, I don’t know what is up with her this trip.

Saturday, October 28, 2023

Tonight was a formal night on the ship, the second one, and well, we didn’t go to it in the dining room. We went to the buffet instead. Not my choice.

I didn’t get pictures of the menus

Sunday, October 29, 2023

Back in the dining room today.

I got the following:

  • Singapore Street—Style Beef Satay
  • Island-spiced Jerk Chicken with rice and Red Beans

  • Sour Crean Apple pie with Streusel Crumble
  • Two scoops of Grapefruit sorbet

Wife got

  • Island Pineapple with candied Pistachios and chicken

  • Transitional New York Cheesecake

My Thoughts on the food so far on the ship. There have been a lot of good options. But eating at the buffet for dinner just wasn’t what I wanted to do. But it is OK. We have eaten some good stuff on the cruise, and it shows.

Yep, here is a video of what I have had so far.
