Nomatic Sling

I’ve been looking for something that will help me with my vlogging. I needed something to carry my technology around in.

I have the following:

  • Backpack
  • Sling

But they have their pros and cons, and I won’t go into that now.

New Sling

Since I am a bigger guy, the sling I currently have is all good. But it is a little tight, and it can’t hold what I would like to take.

I needed something that I could carry with me in my everyday backpack. But something that could hold the stuff I needed to bring with me.

I have been looking at Amazon and other places for a sling and found one that I think will work.

It is a NOMATIC Sling, a 6L collapsible sling.

6L Sling

The sling has the following:

  • Two pockets on the outside.
    • Big one
      • Inside this pocket are four mesh pockets that come in handy to hold miscellaneous items.
    • The small one
      • NOMATIC says it can hold your wallet or phone. However, I am not sure I would put those things in there. You know, pickpockets. But you will have to feel out of your environment.
  • It always has a water bottle pocket
  • Also, a strap to stabilize the sling.

This will hold an iPad Air 5th generation and an Amazon Fire tablet. So you can take it to the beach and read or play games on the iPad as my wife would.

Now, I did fit the following in there:

  • Osmo Action 4
  • Selfie Stick
  • Tripod mount for self-stick
  • Battery
  • DJI Mic
  • Monopod
  • Canon EOS M50 Mark II

That was a tight fit, but I usually wouldn’t carry the EOS camera in the sling.

Collapsible Mode

It is minimal, I guess not super small, but it gets to be about this size

It is excellent; you can put it into your backpack or suitcase, pull it out, and use it to carry your stuff.

I am a big Nomatic fan, and I would like to buy more of their products. But that is a work in progress.

I wasn’t looking for a collapsible sling. But I was looking for something like this.

But the collapsible one did the trick. It can be small enough to fit in my tech backpack or your carry-on suitcase, so you have a small bag when exploring.
