Ever since my carry-on went to South America with my son. I have been struggling to get a good suitcase. Something that I can use time and time again. I looked at reviews online and compared carryon and I found one, but do I get the International one or the domestic one?
Carryon
I got a Samsonite International to carry on. It was like $225 dollars, plus I got a scale for free. The international one is a bit smaller than the domestic bag. Yes, it is smaller I can tell you that.
Here is what I packed for my trip to Philly.
- 2 pairs of pants
- 1 pair of nice dress pants
- 1 white shirt
- 1 pair of shorts
- 2 Tshirts
- 4 polo shirts
- 1 pair of shoes
- Few days of underwear
- Socks
- Poncho
- Toiletry bag
I am not sure why I am not able to pack everything in this bag. I did pack all the above in a carry-on that I used to have and went on a 7-day cruise to Alaska.
Nice bag
Don’t get me wrong, this is a great bag. It has a pocket I use for my liquids so they are easy to access. A pocket for my iPad if I want. I just put misc papers in it, like receipts and brochures. On the inside, it has a deep pocket and a couple of straps to hold all the stuff in. On the lid, it has a wet pocket for wet clothes and another one for misc use. The bag has a pocket on the side of it. I don’t know what that is all about or what it holds. Right now I have a tie in it. That is a good use of that pocket. Look at the photo gallery below.
Thoughts
I have used this a couple of times and Well I have a hard time fitting everything in the bag. Even for a four-day trip. I mean I am not packing that much stuff. It is a smaller size and I thought it would be good to travel with and only have one bag for domestic and international travel. But I am thinking I made a mistake. I either need to learn how to pack better or need another bag.
Don’t get me wrong, it is a nice bag I might need to look at a different option in a carry-on for domestic travel or get a 22 -24” (in) checked bag. I don’t want to travel with a checked bag. But I have to figure something out.
