We headed back to Independence Hall so we could explore more of the area.

Independence Square

Consisted of the following:

  • Commodore John Barry
  • Independence Hall
  • Library of the American Philosophical Society
  • Second Bank of the United States
  • Robert Morris Statue
  • Singers Garden

Washington Square

Is kitty corner to Independence Square and it has the following:

  • The tomb of the Unknown Soldier of the American Revolution

This was on a plague in the square

 DIED PRISONERS OF WARE IN THE JAILS OF PHILADELPHIA,

AND WHERE BURIED IN THIS GROUND DURING THE YEARS
