Entertainment, Ruby Princess

One thing that the cruise ship offers is entertainment, and you can get plenty of it on board. Here is my take on the entertainment and a breakdown of what I experienced.

Sunday Night (Oct. 22, 2023)

To be honest with you. I was in bed and asleep at about 8:45 PM. It was a long travel day.

Monday Night, (Oct. 23, 2023)

Showtime with Hawley Magic, he was on America’s Got Talent, and he was named the princess entertainer of the year.

His magic was pretty good. It was hard to see how he did things, as it was Magic.

This was in the Princess Theater, and it lasted 45 minutes.

Tuesday Night, Oct. 24, 2023

We went to the 7:30 showing of a production show called Colors of the World, and it was a crowded place. The show lasted for half an hour.

It was good, with a lot of signing and dancing. However, this show contains strobe lights, so if you are prone to seizures, I wouldn’t recommend it.

On our way back to the room, we stopped and danced at the ABBA Party. Yes, I danced. I am not a dancer, never have been, and never will be.

No one wants to see those pictures.

Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2023

It was the comedian night. His name was Phil Tag. He was pretty funny.

Thursday, Oct. 26, 2023

Tonight was the Vocal Duo Ebony and Ivory in the main Theater. We didn’t attend any entertainment on this night.

Friday, Oct. 27, 2023

In the Princess Theater, there was magic with Hawley Magic. He was good, so I kept on trying to figure out the trick.

Saturday, Oct. 28, 2023

We attended Stardust in the Theatre. It was only 30 minutes long, and they sang songs from the ’60s. It was a good show.

We went back to Club Fusion, on Deck 7 and watched the comedian again. He was OK, new jokes.

Sunday, Oct. 29, 2023

I did not do anything on this night. It was the Vocal Duo of Ebony and Ivory. I just didn’t feel like seeing anything, so I went and relaxed.

Monday, Oct. 30, 2023

We spent the day in Costa, and we came back and didn’t attend anything that night,

Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2023

It was the day after Costa, which meant new entertainment was on the ship.

We went to a new comic, San Demaris. He was OK, not the funniest. But he did have some good jokes about being the only black guy at a Black Lives Matter rally in Portland.

We went to the Elvis imposter, and now he was good. He was very passionate and energetic. He sure did know how to entertain. I bet he slept well at night.

Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2023

The main event at the Princess Theater was Forever Whitney by Nina Sky, but we didn’t attend anything else. I worked on my iPad for a little bit and looked at the darkness of Panama Bay.

Thursday, Nov. 2, 2023

This being the day of transit through the Panama Canal, we didn’t do any entertainment tonight. We just walked around and I took pictures of the buffet, that was my entertainment for the evening.

Friday, Nov. 3, 2023

We didn’t attend any entertainment on the ship tonight. In the Princess Theater, the Magic and Mayhem of Shawn McMaster.

Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023

We went and saw the Show Magic To Do in the Princess Theater tonight. This was a good show, and I got to go backstage and get a tour of the stage, backstage, and the heart of the Theater: the sound room.

Sunday, Nov. 5, 2023

I did the only show of the night, as this was the last day of the cruise. It was the Farewell variety show, which was at 9 PM and only lasted 45 minutes. It was a good farewell to the 15-night cruise.

Thoughts

The entertainment on the ship was good. For seeing the same people for 15 nights, it was good. They had different types of shows to keep us entertained. I wish the Elvis singer had performed again; however, he got sick. But the entertainment was good. It kept us entertained.

They tried some new shows that had never been done before and were successful.
