Vegas is always a good place to visit. Nevertheless, a lot is going on in Vegas. Traffic is a joke.
Traffic
Getting to The Venetian was a nightmare. Granted, it was a concert, and people went there to park. By the way, it was $30 to park there. They were setting up for the F1 race, which made the roads smaller and more crowded.
The sphere was right there, but the F1 track was in the way. Dang F1.
Good
It was good to get away for the weekend, and Vegas has it all. We ate well, and we enjoyed our time there. The concert was good. It was loud and rocking’ the arena.
If you watch people, you wonder if we are experiencing inflation. Due to the amount of money, they were spending at the tables. I only wish I had that money.
The Las Vegas Strip
On our way out of town, we ventured down the strip. They were building the F1 track on the west side of the street—the corner of Flamingo and Las Vegas Blvd.
You have the Excalibur, NY, NY, the MGM, and an empty spot. That is where the Tropicana was at. It is no longer there. Making way for a baseball field for the Las Vegas A’s.
The Mirage was all fenced off. I guess they will do all the remodeling at once for the new Hard Rock Hotel. They won’t do it a little bit at a time.
The strip has changed a lot over the years.
When the Mirage was built, it earned a million dollars a day. It was the place to be. Now, it is closed and no longer exists, as it is being transformed into the Hard Rock Hotel.
Good
The trip was good; it was short, quick, and not that hot. Still, it is an expensive place to go. But it is Vegas, baby!! Even if I don’t like concerts, I would go to more like that concert.
