Transportation, Quantum

There are a few options to get from the airport to the port.

Options

  • Taxi’s
  • Uber
  • Ride Share
  • Shuttle services

There is no train service there, but there is a stop downtown. But that is about the furthest you can go.

Transportation

We were switching between Uber and Shuttle services. We were leaning towards getting an Uber to stop at Whole Foods to pick up a 12-pack of Diet Coke.

However, she decided she could wait to get some in Sitka.  I opted to go with a shuttle service. We went with Seattle Express. We have used that service before, so I know they are good.

Express

They have served over 500,000 passengers since 1996. They have partnered with some local hotels for pick-up and also pick up from the airport.

They do offer some tours of Seattle and mall shuttles.

Our trip

We found the Seattle Express kiosk at baggage claim 3, right across from it. Then, we were instructed to go to Airporters 2 and find the sign for Seattle Express.

From the airport, we boarded this shuttle.

Yes, we shared it with other people. That is what happens when you don’t use Uber. But that is OK. We stopped at the Holiday Inn by the airport to pick up some people.

The ride

Dropped Off

Here is the spot we were dropped off.

Not that far from the terminal

Most rideshare apps drop off here behind that building.

Thoughts

Getting there was great. We found that many people had the same idea as we did. I guess that is why they serve so many people. The bus driver was quiet, and we couldn’t hear what he was saying, but we got to the port.
