Room Comfort:
It was okay, it was small. The beds were only full-size beds. Coming from a King it was a bit small. But that is what you get when you travel.
Room Cleanliness:
It was clean. The bathroom had an issue. I forgot to take a photo. But, I did videotape it. So check out the video.
Value:
For being in Times Square, I thought 953 dollars was well worth the cost. It was a couple of blocks from Wicked. A 1/2 block from the tour. About 5 to 6 blocks from the middle of Times Square, you know the ball drop on New Years’ eve. I thought it was pretty good.
Staff Services:
Overnight service was a bit slow. We stood there in line for about 20 – 25 min before we were even seen. They were running out of rooms. That is why we got in the room we got in. The overnight manager offered us the following:
- Credit for the resort fee for 2 nights
- That is $40 a day
- Move to a bigger room the next day
- We declined that because we didn’t want our bags to be sitting out all day. You know I have a ton of tech.
- The bellhops were good
The main thing was that it just took forever to find a room
WiFi:
It was decent, I didn’t see any access points, so I am not sure what hardware it was running. But, we needed it for a zoom call to do our stupid COVID medical-assisted tests. That worked well.
Facilities:
It is an older building. So yea it had some issues. It had a fitness room. I am not sure if it had a pool. I just saw the fitness area. For where the hotel was located, and how many rooms were in the hotel. It was a bit small. But, I didn’t use it.
The only thing I saw wrong was the issue in the bathroom and half the lamps in the room didn’t work.
Breakfast:
Was there if you wanted to pay for it. It wasn’t a sit-down or anything like that. Basiclly just coffee and some muffins.
Summary:
Overall it was a decent place to lay your head. But it did have some issues. If they could correct those issues. It would be a great place to stay. Close to a lot of stuff.
Was it worth it
For what we were doing, yes it was worth it for 2 nights. I could live with the issues. But, that is just me. Others might not be able to stay there. But that is a personal thing. It had A/C and that is what mattered to my wife.
