Northern Lights — Quantum of The Seas   Recently updated !

One of the reasons we came on this trip was to see the Northern lights. Did we see them?

Northern Lights

They are rare—OK, not so rare—but they are caused by particles from the sun that hit the Earth’s astrosphere and make up some good old light show. I could go to a science fair and talk about them, but I won’t. That is what the internet is for.

But one of the reasons we booked this cruise is to see the Northern Lights. We saw them in Utah this summer but thought they would be better up here, towards the North Pole.

Did we see Them

No, we didn’t see them because the sky was cloudy at night, and they weren’t visible. Now we will have to go to Iceland to see them.

Am I disappointed? Yes, I am, because my wife mostly wanted to see that. But we can’t win them all.

But we saw them

Here are some pictures from our home. My wife took them, and I will give her all the credit.

Thoughts

I mean, yeah, due to the time of year, the chance of rain, and the weather, it wasn’t on our side. But hey, it was a trip, and we got away from the hustle and bustle of normal life.

We will have to try again.
