We didn’t have to worry about tenders going into Halifax since we could pull right up to a port. So no canceling this port.
Halifax
We left St. John and headed to Halifax and were set to arrive at noon on Thursday, Sept. 22, 2022. We were 2 hours away from docking. When the captain came over the intercom to give us some bad news.
Bad News
We will not be docking in Halifax today, instead, we will turn around and head back to New York. Due to hurricane Fiona, it’s way to Halifax. We headed back to NYC, and we did encounter some rough seas. I thought it would be a lot worse than it was. But we missed the worse. It did hit Halifax.
So it was just another sea day. That means that we had 5ports we were going to stop at but only made 2 stops and had 3 unexpected sea days. It was nice, I just relaxed.
Still
I wanted to visit the places we didn’t stop at. We had some things planned in Halifax. Nothing in the other ones we missed. Just was going to walk around. I guess we will just have to go back to see these ports again.
But that was our day, for Halifax. Not what we wanted, but safety comes first.
