Drink packages are changing all around the place. I mean, Royal did it, Princess did it. Now Carnival has joined the group. What does this mean? Well, let’s find out.
New Package
Carnival came out with a new drink package. They say this is for non-drinkers; you don’t have to buy it. This means that if two people are in the room, and one gets it, the other doesn’t have to.
What is it called
Cheers!! Zero Proof
What is included in it
- Sodas (Coca-Cola Products)
- Juices (standard)
- Bottled Water
- 500 ml
- Still
- Sparkling
- Coconut
- Premium coffees and Teas
- Zero proof cocktails (non-alcoholic) 21+
- Alcohol-free beer (21+)
- Alcohol-free sparkling wine (21+)
- Frozen drinks (non-alcoholic)
- Smoothies and bottled protein shakes
- Milkshakes
- Energy drinks
Restrictions:
- Must be purchased for the entire length of the cruise – partial-day purchases are not available.
- The package cannot be shared – it is non-transferable and intended for personal use only.
- Some items, like alcohol-free beer, non-alcoholic sparkling wine, and zero-proof cocktails, have age restrictions (21+).
- CHEERS! The Zero ProofTM beverage package does not extend to any destinations we visit, including exclusive destinations such as Celebration Key, as it is designed for use onboard our ships.
This package is for $29.99 per person per day.
Appealing
Is this package appealing to anyone? For a seven-day cruise, that package will cost $210 for the week. Is that worth it?
This package could appeal to me because I like milkshakes, frozen drinks, juices, water, and sodas. But would I drink enough? In water alone, I probably would. Plus, milkshakes. That would be fine. It would be appealing for my wife because she drinks a lot of Diet Coke.
Here is the thing
I see coffee, tea, and juices, but where is the hot chocolate? I drink hot chocolate instead of coffee, but they never mention where it falls. It could be really offensive to me that they leave out hot chocolate, but I am a bigger person and don’t get offended. I would like to know.
Come on, people, help out a hot Chocolate drinker with some information.
Good
Is Carnival’s move to do this a good one? Should other lines follow this lead? But Carnival is having Dr. Pepper on a few of the ships. That is good for Dr. Pepper drinkers, but you must sail out of Galveston, Mobile, and New Orleans.
Next Week
We will look at the American Fork Temple, from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
