Carnival, the poop Cruise   Recently updated !

Back in 2013, the poop cruise took place. What is this poop cruise? Let’s find out.

2013

Everything changed on a typical cruise to Western Mexico on the Carnival Triumph. It turned into a cruise from hell, if I can say that. There was an engine fire, and that caused a lot of issues onboard.

It caused the following:

  • No power
  • No AC
  • No flushing toilets
    • Yeah, a big issue
  • Other items

Let’s talk about the no-flush toilets thing. This caused an overflow of the sewage, which would have created very challenging living conditions.

You can just imagine the sanitation issues they had on board. I can only imagine what that would be like.

Netflix Documentary

Put out something called the Train Wreck: The Poop Cruise. Now, there is a lot of stuff being said about the cruise that they say wasn’t true. I am not sure what is true, but from what I remember, it was a bad experience all around.

But the crew stepped up and made it an experience. I don’t know what the truth is about the Poop Cruise.

After

The Carnival Triumph is no more. It underwent a massive upgrade and a $115 million revamp and cleaning—I mean a major cleaning. The ship was probably covered in blood, even if they tried to have people poop in red bags. But still, it must have been disgustingly gross.

The ship was renamed the Carnival Sunrise. But still, for people who know.

Go Again

The question is would you ever cruise again? That is a dang good question. If it were my first cruise, it might be my last one. That experience would set the tone of the rest. But it could only get better. But it would always be on the back of your mind if it would be a poop cruise again.

Fires

Now it seemed that Carnival had an issue with engine fires. On the west coast of the USA, the Splendor was stopped in the ocean with an issue after a fire. However, that wasn’t as bad as the Triumph. I even went on the Splendor in 2019. I wasn’t worried about that happening again. But still, I am not sure I would have gone on the Triumph again.

At Least

This didn’t happen while crossing the Atlantic or Pacific oceans, and then getting stuck just floating there.
