The year 2023 was good for me travel-wise, and I saw many different places and experiences. But 2024 has been a slow travel year for me. However, I am going on a couple of other trips. Here is one of those trips.

Northern Lights

Why Alaska? Well, my wife wanted to go on this trip to see the Northern Lights. But we can’t go to Europe due to the cost. We found there was a possibility of seeing the Northern Lights, so off we go.

Let’s hope we see them; it will make my wife happy.

Cruise

I decided to do a seven-day cruise from Seattle to the following:

• Seattle, Washington
• Sitka, Alaska
• Skagway, Alaska
• Juneau, Alaska
• Victoria, British Columbia
• Seattle, Washington

It took a while to decide what cruise to go on, Princess or Royal?

Princess is the best way to see Alaska. However, my wife didn’t want to go until everything was sold out.

Royal Caribbean has several different ships, and my wife likes Royal. Don’t get me wrong; I like them as well. Our last experience wasn’t the best, though.

We decided to go with Royal Caribbean on the Quantum of the Seas. 

Why Alaska

This will be my third trip to Alaska, but my first time on Royal Caribbean. For the next month or so, I will discuss this trip and Quantum of the Seas.

This should be a good trip and a much-needed vacation, especially after the year I have had.
