Exploring the Serenity of Red Cliffs Temple   Recently updated !

St. George, Utah area, finally got a second Temple for The Church of Jesus Christ of  Latter-day Saints. Some might say it is about time.

Located

It is located at 1555 S Red Cliffs Temple LN, St. George, Utah 84790

History

In October 2018, President Nelson announced the Washington County, Utah, Temple. In November of 2019, the location above was announced. Jeffery R Holland a native of St. George, Utah and a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles was there to preside over the ground breaking.

The name of Red Cliffs came forward in June of 2020, as Elder Holland and his wife were driving by the area, and his wife said, “Well, there are sure a lot of red cliffs around here.” I guess it had a ring to it. So, it was changed from the Washington County Temple to the Red Cliffs Temple.

I like Red Cliffs better.

The angel Moroni was lifted on the temple in May of 2022. The angel is featured on a lot of Temples

Here are some photos I took while down there.

Thoughts

The area around the temple is filled with beautiful views. The site looks like it will have some homes in front of it. So that is a different look to it.

It is a nice-looking temple that serves its purpose to the growing number of saints that live there.

Video

Yep, I did one, and this was filmed back in Oct. 2024. It will be coming soon!
